Dr. Gaidi Faraj is the Dean of the Undergrad Campus of African Leadership University. Dr. Faraj has been a pioneer in developing the Global Challenges program, ALU’s flagship product, ensuring that innovative learning is incorporated and promoted. He holds a PhD in African Diaspora Studies from the University of California at Berkeley, a Masters in Teaching from Troy State University (USA), and a Bachelors of Arts from Morehouse College.
Before joining ALU, Dr. Faraj was based in Tanzania as the vice president of operations for a transatlantic investment firm, where he managed multiple lines of business including construction, hospitality and financial services. After several years with the firm, Dr. Faraj moved on to found a business development consultancy that shared management expertise with businesses operating in, or contemplating investment in Africa and America.
