This panel will run for 120 minutes beginning with the screening of the film (60 minutes) followed by a panel discussion with Director Wachanga Ndirangu, Prof. Anyang Nyong'o, Dr. Willy Mutunga, Dr. Mukami Kabira, Dr. Mshai Mwangola, and Senior counsel Paul Muite.

Making Life Sing in pursuit of utu is a biographical documentary on the life and work of Micere Githae Mugo, one of Africa’s leading writers, poets, performers and one of the most significant postcolonial political, social and cultural thinkers. For close to half a century, she has been an eloquent voice in championing democratic and human rights, and is widely recognized for her foundational role in the development of orature as an important site of knowledge production.
